Monitor Contaminants in Real-time

instran®

instran® online water quality analyzers provide accurate, real-time, and reliable analysis of a range of inorganic and organic contaminants. The fully automated analyzer delivers results between 10-35 minutes; the exact analysis time is contaminant-specific.

AMS is the US distributor for Instrumentación Analítica.

MetalGuard™

The MetalGuard™ analyzer provides real-time, multi-stream, reliable, and accurate analysis of trace metal contaminants to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. MetalGuard is fully automated and monitors contaminants with sensitivity down to 1 ppb and measurement times between thirty minutes and less than two hours.

SafeGuard™

SafeGuard™ is an automated analyzer that provides multi-stream analysis for a range of trace metal contaminants. SafeGuard delivers accurate and reliable results (up to 1 ppb or ± 15%, whichever is higher) with a typical measurement time of fewer than 30 minutes.

California American Water Manages Cr6 Levels in Real-Time

California American Water turned to AMS’s MetalGuard™ fully-automated, online multi-stream chromium analyzer to have higher visibility of hexavalent chromium (Cr6) contaminant levels in real-time and allow them to better monitor and address critical steps in their remediation process.

Real-Time Arsenic Data Helps TRUMPF Optimize Ion Exchange System

To better understand the effects of the different treatment stages on arsenic within the wastewater management system, TRUMPF installed the MetalGuard™ Arsenic online arsenic analyzer to measure arsenic levels in real time and used the results to monitor the performance of its IEX system and ensure regulatory compliance.

El Paso Water’s Upper Valley Water Treatment Plant Meets Arsenic Regulatory Requirements

El Paso Water turned to AMS’s MetalGuard™ fully-automated, online arsenic (As) analyzer to have higher visibility of As contaminant levels in real-time and allow them to better monitor and address critical steps in their remediation process.

Monitoring Real-time Ammonia/Ammonium Levels in Brine in the Chlor-alkali Industry

The online instran® analyzer is integral to maintaining safety in the chlor-alkali process. The instrument effectively measures ammonia and ammonium in brines above 80 g/L; and ensures plant optimization by allowing real-time and accurate monitoring despite the difficulties presented by a high concentration of NaCl in the sample.

Samsung Austin Semiconductor Improves Measurements for Copper Wastewater Streams

Samsung Austin Semiconductor evaluated the MetalGuard™ analyzer’s performance and ability to significantly improve the safety and quality of measurements for copper wastewater streams.

Real-time Fluoride Measurement in Petrochemical Industry

British Petroleum (BP) used the online instran® Fluoride analyzer at the Castellón refinery in Spain to monitor fluoride levels in real-time and maintain the safety of the alkylation zone and overall refinery.

“The MetalGuard™ automated, online arsenic analyzers have been an asset to our facility and they have given us a peace of mind that was not possible before when we relied on more traditional analytical methods. Staying on top of water quality changes and their impact on arsenic levels has allowed us to adjust our treatment process in real-time to remain in compliance with EPA arsenic regulations.”

– Ray D. Shay, Superintendent, El Paso Texas Upper Valley WTP

“The MetalGuard Cr(VI) analyzer enabled California American Water to have higher visibility of contaminant levels in real-time. The fast and reliable online data allowed us to maintain the wells operational while continuing to deliver safe drinking water to our customers.”

– Lacy Carothers, P.E., Project Manager for California American Water
