SafeGuard™ H2O Lead Abatement System
The patent-pending SafeGuard H2O™ is an innovative approach for addressing lead contamination in drinking water supplies. SafeGuard H2O is an economical, reliable and intelligent lead abatement system that generates a stannous ion reagent in-situ via an electrolytic process. The system also features an online lead analyzer to measure system performance in real time.
Data from Online THM Monitoring Aids Water Treatment Operations at Aigües de Barcelona
Aigües de Barcelona uses the intelligent THM-100™ monitoring technology to help anticipate water quality issues, implement the necessary control measures, optimize performance, and reduce operational costs. This innovative case study was presented at the SWAN 2018 conference.
Samsung Austin Semiconductor Improves Safety and Quality of Measurements for Copper Wastewater Streams with MetalGuard™ Analyzer
The semiconductor industry has found that traditional analytical methods for complexed copper in wastewater are not fit for purpose. Complexed copper cannot be measured using ion-selective electrodes and colorimetry technology faces a number of severe challenges. Faced with the challenges of colorimetry, Samsung Austin Semiconductors (SAS) evaluated the MetalGuard™ analyzer for its potential to significantly improve safety and quality of measurements for copper wastewater streams.
MetalGuard™ is the first fully automated, online multi-stream analyzer for monitoring trace metal contaminants such as As, Cu, Cd, Zn, Cr, Fe, Ni, Co, V, U, Se, and more. The online analyzer provides high-frequency real-time data on trace metal contaminant levels in less than one hour and has a sensitivity down to 1 ppb.
Intelligent water treatment systems incorporate real-time sensing to ensure that their performance is optimized to avoid under- or over-treatment and that any deterioration in system performance is signaled to permit timely remedial intervention.
Innovative Hexavalent Chromium Treatment System Has Been Successfully Demonstrated at the City of Los Banos
Aqua Metrology Systems has completed the successful demonstration of their SafeGuard™ H2O proof of concept for the treatment of hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) at the City of Los Banos in California. The novel technology generates a stannous ion reagent in-situ via an electrolytic process and also features an online Cr(VI) monitoring analyzer to ensure remediation of Cr(VI) to below 10 ppb.
SafeGuard™ H2O Online Cr(VI) Treatment System Pilot Report
Innovative SafeGuard™ H2O intelligent Cr(VI) treatment system has been successfully demonstrated at the City of Los Banos in California. This novel technology generates a stannous ion reagent in-situ via an electrolytic process and also features an online Cr(VI) monitoring analyzer to ensure remediation of Cr(VI) to below 10 ppb. The technology provides an economical and reliable treatment for water systems affected by contamination from Cr(VI), a known carcinogen.
Massachusetts Clean Energy Center Awards University of Massachusetts Amherst and Aqua Metrology Systems a Grant to Develop an Online Raw-Water THM-Precursor Analyzer
Aqua Metrology Systems and University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass Amherst), have partnered to develop a robust online raw-water trihalomethanes (THMs) -precursor analyzer. On 23 January 2018 they received a commitment from Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) through its AmplifyMass program to cost share in the development and assessment of this new online THM-Precursor analyzer.
Data from Online Chromium-6 Analyzer Helps Monitor Performance of Chromium Remediation in Real-time
AMS delivered a presentation “Data from Online Chromium-6 Analyzer Helps Monitor Performance of Chromium Remediation in Real-time” at the 2017 Groundwater Resources Association (GRA) of California Annual Conference.
Aqua Metrology’s CEO, Rick Bacon talks about the company’s online monitoring portfolio, providing water quality monitoring in real-time. At ACE17, the company focused on THM formation potential analysis for detecting future levels in a water system.
